The most common problem with a booked stage is scale — a backdrop built for a hall dropped into a living room, or a small panel lost against a large hall wall. We size the backdrop to the wall it sits against, which is why we ask for photographs rather than dimensions.

A solid panel. It has no gaps for a flash to light through and no visible frame, so it works from any angle and at any distance. Hanging-string and open-frame backdrops look good in wide shots but show their structure in close-ups — fine for a large hall, less so for a room where everyone is taking photos from a metre away.
