The name is new; the hands are not. The crew who build our setups have been decorating weddings, haldis and family ceremonies in Kolkata for more than ten years — long enough to know that a mandap has to be finished before the priest arrives, that a third-floor flat needs a different rig to a banquet hall, and that a car has to be ready before the baraat leaves, not when it does.
