Mehndi is the long one. Guests settle in, the artist works for hours, and the decoration has to still look good at the end of it. Our mehndi decoration in Kolkata is designed around that — comfortable low seating, a backdrop that photographs from several angles, and colour that stays vivid under indoor light.
What we build
A decorated seat or takht for the bride, raised slightly so she is visible and the artist has light. A floral backdrop behind it — panel, arch or hanging strings. Low seating with bolsters and floor cushions for guests. Overhead canopy work in fabric and flowers where the ceiling allows. Doorway torans, hanging jhoomars and lantern strings for the evening.
Colour
Mehndi setups take colour better than any other wedding function. Fuchsia and marigold, teal and gold, or the traditional green and yellow all work. We build backdrops in premium artificial florals so the shade is exact and consistent, and add fresh jasmine or rose where the family wants the scent.
At home
Most Kolkata mehndi ceremonies happen at home, and small flats are not a problem — we go vertical with hanging work instead of wide with panels. Setups start from ₹5,000 with artificial florals, ₹6,000 with fresh.

Space and guests
Photos of the room and a rough guest count. Seating drives the layout more than the backdrop does.
Colour theme
Pick a palette or send a reference. We match the exact shade across every element.
Setup before timing
We build ahead of the artist arriving, so nobody is working around us.
Collection
Frames, takht and seating are collected after the function.

Mehndi Decoration in Kolkata — your questions
Home mehndi setups start from ₹5,000 with artificial florals and ₹6,000 with fresh flowers — that covers a bride's seat, a backdrop, guest seating and doorway work. Adding overhead canopy work, lantern strings and a larger takht takes it up. Hall setups start from ₹20,000.
Yes. Floor cushions, bolsters, a decorated takht for the bride and dhurrie seating for guests are all part of a mehndi booking. Tell us roughly how many people will be sitting and we bring enough — this is the part families most often underestimate.
Yes, and most of our mehndi work is in flats. In a small room we build upwards rather than outwards — hanging floral strings, a narrow tall backdrop and ceiling work — which reads well in photographs without taking floor space that guests need for sitting.
Yes. We schedule the build to finish before your artist arrives, because working around a setup crew slows the artist down and the ceremony runs late. Give us the artist's timing when you book and we work back from it.
Yes, and it costs less than two separate bookings. If both are on the same day we plan one visit with two setups. If your space only fits one at a time, we strike the haldi corner and rebuild it for mehndi between the ceremonies.
